Prelude 1 - 66 sticks
Prelude 1 - 66 sticks (by means of an introduction and explanation)
66 sticks in such a random pile
Contemplate which to move for a while.
Brightly coloured and criss-crossed across
With a deft flick and a catch; another move lost.
66 sticks, some big twigs and branches small
Gathered together and collected one and all.
Carefully, patiently, building a temporary art
To be captured in time and then all scattered apart.
Pick up sticks: a game of precision
And a green wood in Spring decision.
To build a stack of dodgy rhymes
In poems and rhythmic prose lines.
But the challenge made
Is that none.
Not one.
Is about me.
I’ve said too much already.
Let’s have some fun
With words.
I shoulds
And 66 sticks in woods.
Whee! Brilliant. I'm in! Let's have some fun!
