Missed the green by a mile

But at least you did it in style.

Good turn of the shoulders and hips.

But keep your head down!

Then you won’t endanger people like me

Who are just walking around.

Daft!

Hit a little white ball

With a stick.

And walk a bit.

Then hit a little white ball

With a stick again;

Do it again and more

And then

Tap the little white ball in a hole.

So what’s the goal? Beating 100?

Spoils a nice hike in the country.

All those silly white balls.

But....

What of the professionals whose game we admire?

Who hit the ball 350 and to whom these hackers aspire.

The Tigers, Bubbas and the Jordans and Woosies

With their fanatical followers, coaches, caddies and their floosies?

Sorry, I digress....

Masters?  Oh yes.

Oh? Is it on tv?

Worth watching just for the azaleas.
